Hello. My name is Bethany Lauer. I could fill this webpage with endless words about who I am, but you could read more about that in my blog. I was born and raised in Pennsylvania, but later found my home in Ohio. I am currently studying to be a Physical Therapist at Chatham University and have aspirations to bring a holistic healing to patients in need. I recently graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University with my Bachelors of Science. When I am not studying, I enjoy dancing most, but I also love to take pictures, journal, get lost in nature, pick up a book, chat with friends over coffee, and play my ukulele.
Many years ago, I asked for a camera for my birthday and you guessed it, I got one! It was not until years later, when I was encouraged to pursue photography. With the help of many others, I found myself exploring the passion of a photography business and out of that came Beyond Bethany Photography. Since I am a graduate student, I am unable to devote all the time and energy that I would desire to into my photography. In the meantime, however, I thoroughly enjoy building my portfolio and would love to invite you to assist me in doing so! With the photograpy tab of this website, you will find a variety of people, places, and events that I have had the blessing to photograph.
In the next tab below, I share about the multitude of situations going on in my life. I have had a blog for quite a few years, but have onl recently begun to post regularly. It provides a release for me on plethora of levels, but apart from that, is intentionally structured to encourage and challenge readers. After all, I have learned that what I go through in this life, is not for me...but actually for those around me. That is you. I write that God may touch and speak to others. I aim to be as vulnerable and authentic as I possibly can, and want to thank all of the readers in advance for your support, listening, and prayers.
