Feeling The Holy Spirit

This morning as STU classes began in 2nd Service, I knew that God was going to have some powerful moments in store. I always look forward to teen youth sessions because I pick up something new to take with me every time. We had our Nazarene Youth Conference (NYC) class today and I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was ready to learn. One of our student leaders led the class and she had all of us use our Bibles to find and read these specific verses from both the Old and New Testaments. For me, digging into God’s Word is like reading a letter my Heavenly Father wrote to me. It is so personal and inspiring; plus, I can relate to it so much. Most of the verses our class read through today had a similar topic of the Holy Spirit and how we must be willing to seek out Christ to feel His Holy Spirit in everything we do. This is very important because the Holy Spirit is Christ living within us; without it, we are dead. We may not always be looking for it, but the Holy Spirit is always there. We are made new through this Holy Spirit and we can’t live a whole-heart, faithful, and thankful life without it. God sent His only Son to die on the cross for all of our sins and now His Son’s spirit is alive in us today. Others may not believe unless they see you walking in Christ’s spirit. What I took away from Sunday School class today is that I am no longer dead with destruction, regret, or sin because Jesus Christ is alive in me and therefore, through His spirit, I am set free! God Bless.
