I recently finished this book and so I thought I’d tell you all my opinion in case you were thinking about reading it. First of all, I was blessed to have been recommended the book by so many friends myself that now I thought I’d do the same. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone who has the desire to feel God’s presence. While I was reading, I didn’t want to put it down; except I had to once Math or History class started in school haha. However, this book gave such a powerful message about a little 3 year old boy, Colton, who became very ill with his appendix. After having two emergency surgeries, he began speaking about Heaven in ways that his father, Todd, couldn’t understand. Out of this incredible little boy, came the truth that may set many of us all free! Sometimes we may go to Church and hear a really good sermon, but not get anything out of it personally; then other times, we may attend a really cool Bible Study, but not take anything away from it. Perhaps, hearing the simplicity of a child speak is all that you need to hear God’s voice. Like I always say….He has something to tell you.
I certainly recommend this book to anyone who wants to believe, does believe, or has believed. This isn’t just a novel that will fly by fast and you can pick up a different one right after you finish; but instead, little Colton’s story will remain in your mind and keep you on the edge of your seat, forever waiting and wondering to see what Heaven will be like yourself. I can’t wait! Check out “Heaven is for Real” by Todd Burpo and tell me what you think! Enjoy and God Bless.
