An Unknown Place

Adventures have been a recent addition to my life and I like them, a lot. For quite some time I’ve passed this lovely place close to campus but never knew what it was or what it was called. Then, out of straight curiosity, I looked it up on Google maps as best as I could, and there was no such place to be found. However, I was almost completely positive that it wasn’t private property. Anyway, I made plans to hang out with a friend and so we went to this “park” of some kind just to walk around and talk.
Well, this turned out to be a beautiful place. The weather was just perfect and the way the evening settled in, and the lights lit up the path in which we were walking, was all so wonderful.
Right before leaving campus to go to the park, one of my friends had asked if I liked being so busy and being on the go go go? So, I answered her with a confident, “Sometimes even when my body may not be physically still, I am relaxing by doing things for me.”
Tonight was one of those incidences. I’m not going to let friendships slip from under my feet simply because of my stress level for with my academics. I am more than thankful for my brothers in Christ and the time that I get to spend with them.
Walking around the path showed me how being present and doing something that has lost it’s significance of meaning [the act of taking a walk outside] can be done in worship to Him. How wonderful of a feeling that is.The conversation was real, encouraging, and joyful. I would say, I have found another favorite place of mine in Ohio…and I don’t even know it’s name.
